MARY OLIVER
Mary Oliver explores virtuosity in both scored and improvised music. Based in Amsterdam, Oliver is a key member of the improvising community, locally and internationally. She has performed with musicians a.o. Han Bennink, Erik Bosgraaf, Mark Dresser, Tristan Honsinger and many more. Mary Oliver is a member of the Instant Composers Pool (ICP) Orchestra.
EMMELUTH’S AMOEBA
Signe Emmeluth (25) is a Danish saxophone player and composer, currently living in Oslo (NO). Emmeluth has lately become a leading voice of improvised music in the Nordic countries with the bands, she is part of, such as KONGE (Mats Gustavsson, Ole Morten Vågan and Kresten Osgaard) and OWL (duo with Karl Bjorå). She is also known through her collaborations with artists like Paal Nilssen-Love, Pascal Niggenkemper, John Edwards and Mette Rasmussen.The debut album of Emmeluth’s Amoeba, POLYP, was well received:
