The Space Impro season kicks off at Sexyland with a full scale international evening
featuring Perselí, the brand new trio Mills / Stadhouders / López-Palacios Navarro and the amazing French
saxophonist Sakina Abdou.

PERSELÍ
Perselí is a trio of four voices: Fuensanta sings and plays the double bass, José plays the
saxophone, and Alistair plays the trumpet. They found each other in their respect for
vulnerability, sensitivity towards sound and pursue a constant path of discovery. Their mix
of influences translate into narratives that develop unhurriedly, as an imitation of flowers,
leaves and life without anxiety. Through the set, you can expect to hear improvised
passages that resemble that of a modern chamber group, original songs that pull from a
mixture of folk music & soundscapes that imitate nature and our surroundings.
The musicians improvise, write music and poetry, and never fight about it.
Their debut album was released in August 2022 together with Minaret Records.

SAKINA ABDOU
A versatile musician, flautist / saxophonist Sakina Abdou has been involved in the life of
musicians’ collectives in the Lille area since the age of 14, exploring jazz, free improvisation
and experimental music.Since 2019, she has been devoting herself to her concert activity,
multiplying her projects and exporting herself on a national and international scale. Since
then she has been collaborating with many musicians, both in Europe and beyond. In 2023
her solo album Goodbye Ground came out, the culmination of various aesthetic paths and in
different contexts and artistic experiments, of a sound research started in 2021 around the
