22:00-23:00: Regga artist Mo Ali – Songs of Resistance
Since 2018, a young generation has been at the vanguard of change in Sudan. They have built powerful networks of resistance through art, journalism,
and film. During the workshop, we will learn about these contributions and brainstorm actionable ideas to support the art at the heart of the revolution.
We will screen Suddenly TV, a short documentary on magical thinking and revolution by Roopa Gogineni and Gisa Productions that immerses you in the 2019 sit-in. The film follows a group of boys documenting the historic moment with a cardboard camera and illuminates the narrative-shifting possibilities created by the millions of people who took part in the two month long sit-in.
Due to space limitations we request everyone attending to register
