On Saturday we gather at the Distelweg for a final day with a bunch of our dearest jazz and improv musicians. When our instruments are go, our tummies are filled and we are ready for blast off, we set off a musical caravan to Sexyland World, where the day turns to night, and celebrate our new home coming with musical fireworks.

BAZOOKA
Waywardly swinging interpretations of Angolan popular guitar music from the sixties and seventies. Because of their limited number of gigs, Bazooka has become something of a cult band.

LA PAMPA
La Pampa is a relatively new ensemble, bringing together four of today’s most exciting young improvisers. Organic and unexpected music with quick transitions and surprising twists and turns.

We are very happy that saxophonist Benjamin Herman will play again on this special occasion with his trio and Oscar Jan Hoogland, playing music of the one and only Misha Mengelberg.

Zea is Arnold de Boer (also The Ex): minimal, full-on, electric, acoustic, eclectic, strange-edge. Deploying guitar and sampler for intense and high energy songs. Joyfully obstinate, wonderfully bonkers.

Ruidoscuro is the band of Amsterdam based drummer Frank Rosaly diving into his native Puerto Rican and Central and South American roots.

SUN-MI HONG & TERRIE EX
Drummer Sun-Mi Hong & Terrie Ex play duo this evening; two different musical characters and generations. A first encounter!

MIGUEL PETRUCCELLI ON CHARANGO
Miguel Petruccelli, the Uruguayan (bass) guitar player and band leader of Bacchanalia, will play on the charango, a traditional South-American 5×2 string instrument. 

SUN-MI HONG & IBELISSE GUARDIA FERRAGUTTI
A duo of very strong voices in the younger generation of Amsterdam based musicians.

ANDY MOOR SOLO
Andy Moor, guitar player of The Ex, continues to make experimental, wide-ranging music, for example with his cult-band Bazooka, Genevieve Murphy, Yannis Kyriakides, John Butcher and as DJ Andy Ex.

MICHAEL MOORE / WILBERT DE JOODE
Michael Moore and Wilbert de Joode, both icons of the Amsterdam music scene with a full package of musical experience and collaborations, will meet each other this evening.

NICOLAS CHIENTAROLI / ADA RAVE
Nicolas Chientaroli and Ada Rave both moved from Argentina to Amsterdam to explore the improvised music scene here. Since then they have become an integral part of it and organize the always inspiring Impro Jam hosted by de Ruimte. Tonight the partners play together as a duo.

VIOLETTA GARCIA / TITZIA ZIMMERMAN DUO

The musicians of La Pampa will also perform duo and solo, improvising and experimenting with sounds and techniques.
