Join us again for this festive and danceable night exploring the clave!
From Sub-Saharan Africa to Cuba and South-America, where it’s at the root of musical genres such as salsa, rumba, conga, son, reggae and dancehall. This year we will explore the clave, the rhythmic pattern that ties a whole world of music together.
Uruguayan musician Miguel Petruccelli invites a band of musicians that share a love for the clave, to make your heart beat to its rhythm.

SPOS
This band first played together in 2019 in Portugal, the home base of José Lencastre. All three musicians have been active members of the European free jazz scene for years. The music of the trio can go into different paths but always flows naturally in constant communication between the three musicians.
For this edition, and as part of the Exclave concept, this three musicians will interpet and improvise over different rhytmical patterns related to afro-cuban music while stretching the boundaries of melody and rhythm.
