This summer De Ruimte rides the caravan to Sexyland World for a two-day festival. Expect poetry, modern dance, jazz and impro, intimate concerts, spectacular performances, African music, impressive classical, and highly danceable brass & electronic grooves, cumbia and Arabic tunes. Sexyland World vibrates continuously for two days: acoustic concerts outside, amplified music in the main hall inside and on the second floor intimate backstage performances.

This groove-based trio is a melting pot of cultures freshly squeezed and bottled into one of the sweetest nectars around. Elements from Southern Africa, the Balkans, Morocco, Afrobeat, Reggae and contemporary music.

Ruisburo presents: Strict Nurse
Strict Nurse is the alter ego of Leilani Trowell. Strict Nurse improvises with layered cassette loops, samples, synthesizers and a sweet, sinister voice to cast a spellbinding soundscape.

Karel van der Eijk
Karel van der Eijk is known for his unique installations in which sound and mechanics form the basis. Some of his installations can move at the touch of a button, others are played like a musical instrument.

Melodic pop compositions flowing into danceable West African rhythms, ambient interludes and complex harmonies. Fast De takes you with an overdose of energy on a lively trip that you can’t get out of quickly.

Harmen Fraanje/Clemens van der Feen/Flin van Hemmen
Lyric, playful music performed by a strong trio, which can only occasionally perform, due to the emigration of Flin van Hemmen to the USA. This is one of the rare occasions!

DJ Marcelle stands for surprise, adventure and entertainment; she is just as good a musician as a DJ and knows how to bring many evenings to a climax with her eclectic music.

Joske Koning
Joske Koning (1989) is an actress, singer, writer and theater maker. She performs both solo and in larger settings, for example with her King Sisters. Tonight she is our host.

Maya Fridman
Born in Moscow, Maya Fridman’s talent as a cellist was discovered already at an early age. She lives in The Netherlands, doing many diverse projects.
