Such a wild variety of musicians, styles, genres and nationalities this edition of Space Impro at the new location of de Ruimte: Sexyland World. Tonight on stage a lot of curiosity to new sounds and rhythms in a vocabulary of free improvisation and most of all open mindedness.

This organism moves forward. A non-dogmatic collective. The music alternates between spectral sound fields, occasional textural noise parts and displaced parallel rhythmic layers. The distinctive character of the trio and flexibility the combination of instruments offer, are clearly shown in the interplay with intonation and in creating a space where the overtones from wood and metal merge.
The pan-Scandinavian trio consists of Signe Emmeluth (DK), Joel Ring (SE) and Magnus Skavhaug Nergaard (NO) who are all part of Oslo’s improvisation scene. The trio comes from a background in free jazz, noise rock and electroacoustic music and are known from the bands Emmeluth’s Amoeba, Joel and the Neverending Sextet and Monkey Plot.

Miriam den Boer / Amanda Irarrázabal
The Chilean double bassist Amanda Irarrázabal and the Dutch-Mexican violinist Miriam den Boer Salmón met in the rich music scene of Mexico City. They brought their shared love of adventure and curiosity for everything sound can be, together in a creative collaboration and a recording session in Amsterdam. In 2022, their debut album Fauces was released on the label 577 Records, which the duo celebrates with a tour through Europe.
Perpetual Bike Crash
Is the project of guitarist Francisco Garrido along with Micheal Murray on alto saxophone and Joshua Lutz on piano and keyboards. Taking influences from ambient, minimal music and film music, the band creates atmospheric soundscapes that lead the listener into a captivating and immersive ambient journey.
