Dividual space is the series at De Ruimte with music, performance art, dance, visual arts, theatre, poetry and spoken word. Dividu is a philosophical idea about man as multiplicity, the ever-changing man, according to philosopher Deleuze. Interesting ideas for the artistic brain!Changing curators challenge a group of artists with very diverse artistic backgrounds to step beyond the boundaries of their own discipline and enter into new collaborations. They come together as artistic minds for some quality time and philosophize about their artistry and their connection. Every artist is asked to bring something of himself, to perform, something for which the moment or place has not been found before. Together they make a program in one day.

Raised in a tiny rural village in the north of the Netherlands, Michelle Samba left home at 16 to study percussion, sound design, performance and art. Now based in Amsterdam, Samba has contributed to many works from her peers in the dutch scene.
MARTIN TOLOKU
Martin Toloku is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice evolved over the years from carving to installation, performance, video work, studio practice and collaboration with animals, specifically termites and aquatic species. He is fascinated about the deterioration of materials, memories they inhabited primarily decaying objects such as wood, animals, plants by nature and ‘predators’. In performances, Martin uses his body as a material object in a process confronting his own death phobia as a childhood experience and its manifestations in his sculptural installations.
MARA VAN NES
Mara van Nes is a theater maker, program maker and moderator. She specializes in social-artistic work and conversation as a work of art. In her practice she often works with a combination of art professionals and amateurs, or cross-disciplinary with specialists from the social domain.
The encounter, the experience and the dialogue are central to her work. Rituals play an important role in this because, for her, shaping a gathering has a direct influence on its substantive qualities. WILLIE DARKTROUSERS
When Willie moved to Rotterdam in 2019, he lost his guitar on the train. He has been making beats on his laptop ever since. Willie Darktrousers’ new music is a search for the European sound of the future. For example, he combines folk from Northeast Europe and Celtic music, with trap and drill.
LAUREEN LANGKAMP
Art pedagogue, participation artist, printmaker, bass player, dancer.
Born and raised in the city of Groningen, she pursues her love for dancing: in the living room; in the disco; on the streets and in front of the class while teaching painting; drawing and printing.
Through dancing and the process of making music, she enhances the process of replacing linguistics with body language and sound exploration, as within the medium of painting she’s drawing our attention, creating a dialogue with her inner world.
The practice of expanding her network is valuable not only for her professional development, but also as the core of her microcosmos.
VANINA TSVETKOVA
Vanina is multidisciplinary artist working in the fields of Unstable/New media, Visual art, Performance, Sonology, Experimental music.
The element of Vanina’s works is in each expression, in each momentum, medium, meaning, and vulnerability, where the process flows freely without restraint. In the context of unstable media and performance, how to be confident in your vulnerability becomes her magnum opus. Appearance is a constant variable magnitude in an attempt to give the audience a time-out from all stereotypes and create a new sense of belonging.
Throughout her life, she grew towards the ultimate appreciation of broken or malfunctioning objects or events, or society. Working methods consist of adopting/creating new tools/instruments, defected objects/situations, impulsive/irrational actions, dematerialization and materialization of odds, and creating new environments (visual/audiovisual).
